Ms.athena (the truth) personality type is INFJ, but it is common for INFJs to be mistaken for ENFJs. When an INFJ is in the process of developing their tertiary function, the ENFJ auxiliary would naturally step forward and take the INFJ's role of "the best version of themselves"--the ENFJ would then become the INFJ's "best version of themselves". This is something that INFJs don't want, since they want to develop their tertiary function and become their best self. The reason why INFJs don't want to be seen as "the best version of themselves" is because INFJs don't like being other people, and ENFJs view others as "other people". This means that INFJs are constantly struggling to keep their identity separate from the identity of the ENFJ--at the same time that INFJs are trying to develop their tertiary function, they are trying to keep their identity separate from their ENFJ's identity. This is why INFJs often feel like they are losing touch with themselves, because they are constantly re-evaluating who they are and what they want. This is a natural process that happens in all relationships, but it can be especially difficult for INFJs.
