For me, it was a case of "duh". I have known ESTP's who don't smoke and I know ESTP's who smoke. So my first reaction was to wonder why anyone would think of ESTP as being more likely to smoke than any other type.
As I continued reading, though, I discovered the author's attitude toward cigarette smokers. The author is definitely anti-smoking. Not only does he think it is a bad habit, he thinks that it is a bad habit that is contagious. He seems to be saying that if you are going to smoke, you might as well get other people to smoke as well. He makes it sound like if you are going to smoke, you better be kind enough to join your fellow addict by also smoking. This is not an attitude that I can relate to at all.
I do not feel that it is right for smokers to encourage others to smoke, but I don't think that it is a good idea for non-smokers to discourage others from smoking. I think that both groups should be allowed to do what they feel is best for them.
