Q: What do you think of the idea of a "New Atlantis" in the ocean, inhabited by humans?
A: I'm not sure how much I think about it, but I've heard of it. In one "Atlantis" story, the people were all at war, and they realized they were being invaded by aliens, so they went to war with that. But the "Atlantis" story I know best is the one that inspired the movie "The Island," in which a bunch of people are brought to an island where they are under the impression that they are in a paradise and that this paradise is a part of their own world. The point of their life is to make and keep weapons for warfare; it's a very grim life.
