"I decided I was going to be a boxer," he told the New York Daily News. "My father [came] home one day and said I can't box anymore. ... I was like, 'What?' He said, 'You're too small.' I said, 'I'm not too small, I can still do it.' So he [went] to the gym with me. He put me in and I fought."
