    ESTP (8w9)

Mnestheus personality type is ESTP, which is definitely a good fit for me. But I feel like I’m lacking a bit of the “enthusiastic” side. I’m a little too measured and down to earth at times. That’s why I’ve found myself to be a good fit for a lot of the Ne types. Why I’m not a NFP.

Some of the NFP traits that I can relate to are:

I love people, but I don’t share things with them that I wouldn’t share with my closest friends or family.

I am definitely a people-pleaser. It’s one reason why I sometimes struggle to make decisions, because I’m always thinking about how other people will feel.

I’m a bit of a perfectionist. There is a lot of pressure to do things “right,” and a lot of anxiety about mistakes.

I get really annoyed at mistakes and know that it makes people uncomfortable when I point them out.

I don’t like conflict and get upset when people get upset.

Mnestheus is a character from Roman mythology, found in Virgil's Aeneid. He is described by Virgil as the ancestral hero of the Memmii and "Of the house of Assaracus". One of a handful of vaguely defined lieutenants under Aeneas, he appears to be Aeneas's most senior captain, taking charge in Book 9 in his absence. He takes second place in the boat race during the funeral games of Anchises in Book 5.
