Ben personality type is ISTP, not ISFP.
I understand that there’s a lot of ISTP out there and I think we can all agree that we’re among the most unique and interesting people. But we don’t all have to be ISTP, and we definitely can’t all be ISTPs.
I’m not saying that the ISTP personality type is bad or that we’re not as quirky as we’d like to think we are, but there are certain misconceptions about the ISTP personality type that I want to address. The following is a list of commonly held ISTP myths.
MYTH: You can’t do anything without a plan.
ISTPs love to plan and organize and we really believe in the value of having a plan, but we also know we can’t do everything we want to do if we spend all of our time planning and organizing. We like to say that planning is like making a sandwich – you can take it out of the fridge and eat it right away but it’s better if you make it first.
MYTH: ISTPs can’t tell jokes.
