I always thought that the personality tests were unreliable, but I guess it's better than nothing. It appears to be the case that the test used to determine my personality type was changed quite a bit between the time I took it and when I received the results. That's why I was surprised. On the one hand, I'm somewhat disappointed - I'm not terribly interested in trying to fit into a particular MBTI box, and I'd rather people not make assumptions about me based on my personality type. On the other hand, it's nice that this test is available for those who are interested.
I am quite sure that the MBTI test is not accurate and unreliable. But I am less sure about which personality type is best for me. In my case, my personality type is not a very clear one. For example, it seems like I'm an ENFJ with some ESFJ traits. I certainly agree with most of my personality results, but they don't really fit into my life. Perhaps this situation is an example of how we all have a mix of our various personality traits.
