Wedel's Way - Mt. Washington personality type is ISTJ, which has some elements of EIE. It's a different kind of ISTJ, though, because it's one where the individual is of a different mindset than most ISTJs. They're not all "meat and potatoes", but they're not completely driven by logic either. This is because they like to be right. They're not willing to bend to the whims of their emotions or listen to customers who aren't willing to pay for their advice or services. They'll only listen to their own internal voice once it's been validated by some objective data. That's why they're so good at what they do. But this means that they're sometimes stubborn and hard to deal with.
I've met some ISTJs who are good listeners, but I've met other ones that literally don't want to hear what you have to say. They want you to shut up and get out so they can do their job without interruption. This is because their goal isn't to be a good listener, it's to get their job done. And if you're not doing that for them, then you're doing it wrong.
My own personal experience has shown me that this is a flaw in the personality type too.
