Adauto personality type is INFP, so I can see why he's so curious & pondering about stuff, as well as being quite creative.
And his "just plain weirdness" has always been one of the things I've liked about him. It's one of the things that makes him such an interesting person to be around. He knows how to annoy people, but he's not trying to (and doesn't succeed). He's just doing it because he can.
That, and he's one of the nicest people I've ever met. And one of the funniest. I just love him!
I hope you make it to the convention next year! If you have to go in the less than a year time frame, that would be great. I think my schedule will be a bit busier than last year's, since we're moving and have a huge amount of stuff to pack up and move into our new place, and my wife is still in school for her Masters' program.
