Sul Ma-eum personality type is ISTP, which is the same as Jung's ISFp. This is not really surprising since Jung was a medical doctor and a physicist, and was very interested in the biological functions of the brain. He believed that the function of the brain was to create the "image of the world" (or "image of self," if you will). Under this conception, Jung thought that all human beings are basically ISTP, and that the ISTP style can be considered the most like his own. However, Jung did not actually describe himself as an ISTP (the ISTP style has not yet been officially recognized in Jung's theoretical model).
Jung's Problem with ESTP
If we can accept the traditional ISFP/ESTP model, then Jung's problem with ESTP should disappear. After all, Jung described his own type as an ISTP, and everyone would agree that he was in fact an ISTP. However, this is not the case.
