Engin personality type is ISFJ, and my experience as an ISFJ has helped me to understand the behaviors of my other intp friendships.
One of the most positive things about being an ISFJ is that we are very good at making friends. We are loyal, willing to help, and kind. However, because of this, we are also prone to over-commitment, and sometimes this loyalty can become a detriment to our friendships.
It is also important to note that one of the biggest strengths of the ISFJ is that they are generous in their giving and in their willingness to help others. However, when this generosity extends to relationships, it can become a detriment. An ISFJ friend may become so committed to their friendship that they may become too clingy or "babysit" their friend. This is not out of malice, but out of a desire to make sure that they are taken care of. This can create a very unhealthy situation for their friend, who is left with an ISFJ that takes care of them in such a way that they don't have time to take care of themselves.
