I think this show is going to end up being a deconstruction of the Fi-Ne-Ti personality types, similar to how Futurama is.
I don't see how a show like this could do it without being a deconstruction. He's already in love with a female character and spends his time searching for her. He's already constantly looking for things and trying to understand them and make sense of them. Plus he's constantly talking about how he doesn't fit in (which could very well be because of his personality type). He's never considered himself to be more than a pawn in everyone else's game. I think he's going to be a huge character from now on.
My favorite episode that wasn't aired yet is the one where he's examining his work. His work is just him writing about him and his friends, but I think it will turn out to be his thoughts on other characters, like his father and his mother.
