Lloyd personality type is ESFJ, so that means I am very motivated to meet and maintain social relations. I have a bit of "people-pleasing" in me, as well, so I am often torn (to use the technical term) between people feeling awkward about my "perfectionism" (or what they see as perfectionism) and fitting in with the group. I've found that it's easiest to just be myself, but socially, as an introvert, I can be a bit quiet and shy.
As I was getting ready for this game weekend, I was at the point where I really wanted to talk to people about my plans, but I didn't know how to go about it. I felt like an imposter, as if no one would want to hang out with me if they knew my plans. So, I did what I always do when I have social anxiety: I drank a bunch of coffee and took a walk. That helped me relax and brought me down to earth, so when my friends arrived (I invited my friends from the game, in order to play with them), I felt more comfortable talking about my plans and what they were.
