"Okay," I said. "Where's it at?"
"The Space Zoo is on the Moon, but it's just a couple of miles away from here. That thing makes a lot of noise, though," he added, looking at the giant machine.
"What about your mom? Your dad?" I asked. "Don't they want to come?"
Kai shook his head. "Not really," he said. "They're not that interested in the Space Zoo."
"That's too bad," I said. "It looks like a lot of fun."
"It is," Kai said. "I'm going to go get some food."
As I watched him head towards the food court, I saw one of the workers climb up to the control panel and look at the screen. The numbers were all green and glowing, and there was no activity on any of the other screens.
