ESFJs tend to be very friendly, and make friends easily. They have a natural desire to be helpful, and can be great employees and loyal friends. They are very good at managing people, and can often get along with difficult people well. However, they can be extremely vulnerable to criticism and rejection.
This personality type is not very aggressive, and is often described as “cuddly”. However, when pushed far enough, ESFJs can become very hostile and aggressive, as well (this is especially true for the ENFJ personality type). When this happens, the ESFJ can become quite withdrawn and isolated, and not many people know what is going on.
This is where ESFJs can become misunderstood. They often do not show anger or aggression when it is actually occurring (especially when it is directed at them), and their friends may not see it at all.
