I am an INTJ, for those of you who care! :)
Anyway, I'm fairly sure that the only reason why a lot of people think that INTJs are so emotional is because they actually ARE emotional. When I'm upset or feel like someone's annoyed me, I am quite emotional about it, even though I try to keep my emotions in check (most of the time). I don't get upset by small things though, and I can usually accept things without getting too upset. I don't yell or shout at people or get into fights or anything like that. I just get a little sad and upset, and then I try to go on with my day.
I think INTJs tend to be more emotional than they realize because they don't exhibit their emotions often enough. When they do, they're usually angry at themselves for being too emotional. They can also be really emotional over trivial things, like weather or trivial stuff like that.
