I was always very much an observer, rather than a participant. I could easily step aside and let other people navigate their paths through life without interference or worrying about my own opinions or ideas. This is how I coped with the world as a child and this was how I developed into an adult who could understand others and empathise with them.
This personality trait made me very good at reading people, but not so good at forming relationships or socialising with others. I was very much an observer, rather than a participant.
