Cuphead & Mugman personality type is INFP, which may surprise you a bit.
As we can see, Mugman, however, is quite a strong personality type, which is not surprising, since he has that "tough guy" image and is so brash and boisterous.
The key here is to see this mugger as a "loose cannon" in that he is a bit on the aggressive side. He has his own personality and he will act on it, even if it means hurting others (in this case the Sugar Cubes).
This is not to say that Mugman should be considered a "bad guy" or a "bad boy," but merely an "old-school" type who is more than willing to put himself out there if it means fulfilling his desires.
This is the same kind of personality type that Cuphead embodies, in that he is willing to throw himself into danger to collect his coins and make his way to the end of the level.
(Incidentally, Mugman is also considered to be an INTP – which means that he's a bit like Cuphead!)
