Kelbris (The father) is not like any other father I've ever read about in fiction. He is a man of action, with a clear goal in mind, he is not out to find a wife and try to have children, but he is quite aware of his role as a parent, and he tries to be the best parent he can be. He has very strong ideals when it comes to his family, and he does not hesitate to let them know. He also does not hesitate to correct his children when they do something wrong, but he does not let them feel bad about themselves, he is always there to reassure them.
The way Kelbris (The father) behaves with his children is very different from what I expected a father to act like in a novel. I never thought that I would read about a father who would be such a tough father, and I am very grateful that I read this book. Even though I do not like being corrected, I am very glad that Kelbris (The father) did it, because it made me have more respect for him as a character.
