In his later years, he became a member of the Ebonheart Pact, where he became a celebrated hero and was instrumental in defending the Pact from the Aldmeri Dominion during the Great War. He was a great friend to Jorunn, High Queen of Skyrim.
Ysgramor is a large and imposing man with long white hair, a broad forehead and thick eyebrows. His eyes are blue, and his skin is pale. He has been described as having a rough-hewn or brutish appearance. He wears a set of traditional Nordman armor, including an iron helmet with a wolf pelt tied around the bottom and neck.
