INFPs are more like INTJs, in that they have a preference for introverted judgment and analysis. But because of their extraversion, their reasoning tends to be more outward and collective.
The INFP also has a strong preference for Extraverted Intuition (Ne), whereas the INTP prefers Introverted Intuition (Ni). Hence the INTP’s preference for the tertiary function may seem like a contrast to the INFP’s preference for the inferior function. It isn’t, though. INFPs tend to have a moderate to high preference for Extraverted Intuition, whereas in the INTP type it is usually high.
