Sin personality type is ISFJ, but the "other" form is ISTJ. I realise that this is a bit of an oversimplification, but it seems to work well enough to convey the basic idea.
I think that the ISTJ and ISFJ types can be used as a complementary pair of related but distinct functions. The ISTJ will be the 'helper' function, and the ISFJ will be the 'saver'.
The ISTJ will be the person in charge, the one who keeps an eye on things, who gets things done, who makes sure that things get done. The ISFJ will be the person who takes care of everyone else, who looks after everyone else, who makes sure that everyone else is taken care of.
This seems like a natural fit for most people, as these types seem to have complementary qualities.
The ISTJ will have a tendency to take lots of initiative and assume responsibility for things, and so is not often very receptive to the requests of people who are not in charge. The ISFJ will assume responsibility for others and so is not very good at taking initiative and taking responsibility for things.
