The downside of this is that ISTJs can become quite rigid and can get stuck doing the same thing over and over. They will do everything they can to make sure that everything is done the same way every time, and they will ignore any signs that something might be better done differently. They will just do it the same way, and if that means that people have to sit around and wait all day while they get everything done just so, then they're going to do it that way.
This is where a lot of ISTJs get stuck. They want to get things done, but they don't want to make people wait around all day while they get everything done. This causes a lot of stress in their lives and can cause them to become very neurotic about getting everything done perfectly.
