This is my fourth revision of this theory. I wrote a precis on my blog in March, which you can read here. The main changes that have been made relate to the way I think about identification: how I understand it as a process of identification with a ‘self’ that is not me, and the role it plays in the process of personality development. I have also added a section on the Jungian typology of ‘individuation’.
