Chai personality type is ESFP, so I tend to be very effusive. I'm just a big fan of people. I love meeting new people and sharing myself with them. I'm very expressive and I have no problem with telling people what I feel and how I feel it. It's just who I am. I don't think my parents ever had a problem with it, but I know they did with some of the things I said.
"The other thing that's so different about me is that my father is an African American Muslim. He converted when he was in his early 20s. He converted to Islam after seeing Malcolm X on TV and he immediately became a Muslim. He was raised Christian in the South. There was a lot of prejudice in our community against black Muslims and Islam in general. He didn't want to be a Muslim, but he wanted to keep practicing his religion. So he started reading the Qur'an everyday and saying prayers, and by the time he was 28, he became a Muslim.
