How did you come up with the idea of your photography project? Did you have a specific subject in mind?
The inspiration for the project "Breathing" was a conversation I had with my father about the passing of his father. He was not able to attend his father's funeral due to work schedule. He was distraught that he was unable to say goodbye to his father, so I created this project to help him feel closer to his dad. The idea behind the rest of the series is I try to capture the emotions I feel when I'm with my husband and my son. It's difficult to describe the emotions I feel with words.
Heike Langhans is known for being the female vocalist of Swedish gothic/doom metal band Draconian since 2012, when she replaced Lisa Johansson.
She is also known for her ambient/electronic solo project Lorelei (stylized :LOR3L3I:) and as the vocalist of atmospheric doom metal band Light Field Reverie.
Until 2019, Heike was the vocalist and lyricist of the shoegaze/ambient metal band ISON.
She was born in South Africa but currently resides in Sweden.
