Anna Cavallaro personality type is ESTP, and the ones she's paired up with are very reminiscent of other ESTP characters in the series, in that they have a lot of energy and are hot-headed.
She's also very much like Shuichi, but on the other side of the spectrum. She's extremely energetic, and while she's a good fighter, she can also be rather reckless. She tends to be a bit more zany than Shuichi, though, and while she can get incredibly annoyed at Shuichi's antics, she still cares for him very much.
While occasionally I would find it odd that Kaede was paired up with someone like Maki, I do think it works well. She likes being the center of attention, and is genuinely happy when Maki is around. At the same time, she doesn't get to see Maki as much as she wants, so she gets frustrated with him at times.
In one of the later episodes in particular, I found Maki's reaction to Kaede's crush on him interesting. It doesn't necessarily show Kaede has it bad for Maki, but it shows that he can be jealous of his friends liking each other.
