Alexei personality type is ESTP, which would explain why he is so impulsive and spontaneous. I get the feeling that this ESTP type has been designed for the purposes of comedy, because he is very funny and his actions are always unexpected and spontaneous. It gave the show a unique feel that was not present in most other anime.
One of the most important and interesting characters in the series is Alois Trancy, who is an embodiment of the shadow side of the ESTP type. Alois Trancy is a psychopathic serial killer who has killed more than ten people. He is described as being a calm, cold, calculating, and ruthless individual who has no remorse for his victims, as he kills them to satisfy his own urges. He is also extremely charismatic, which is a result of his ESTP personality, and he ironically finds himself to be very popular with women.
Alois Trancy also represents a type of shadow that every ESTP must experience at some point in their lives. I will say more about this later in the article. Alois Trancy is very interesting because he represents a psychopathic version of an ENTJ.
