Detective personality type is ISTJ, the Inspector. I know some people keep hiring ISTJ's because they're "good workers". But they're not good workers. They're just normal people. They're not bad, but they're not special either. And I think that this is one of the main reasons why ISTJ's are unpopular in the workplace. ISTJ's are not extraordinary. This is one of the reasons why they can't land a job that has a lot of responsibility. ISTJ's are not driven to succeed, they're not motivated by money, and they have no interest in climbing up the corporate ladder. But I believe that ISTJ's are great at things like customer service and being a nice person to people.
I'm not going to go over all of the ISTJ's I know in detail, but I will talk about a few ISTJ's that you may be familiar with.
