Barlow personality type is ESFP, but I wasn’t always sure how to best describe my own personality type. I’d always heard ESFPs described as fun, enthusiastic people, but that didn’t quite fit with my experiences. I’ve never been much of a “party person,” and my friends are all more introverted than I am. I had to give up on the idea that I was an ESFP for a long time.
It all started in middle school. My friends and I would gather at someone’s house for sleepovers, and those nights were always fun. We would play games, stay up late, and have fun. When we went our separate ways, we would text about our memories of the night before, and tell stories about our sleepover guests.
I was always the one who would bring up how shy these sleepover guests were, and how nervous they were about staying overnight. They would sometimes end up telling us their stories of growing up, or how they got into art, and all of these details would excite and inspire me.
