I found out that my father was one of the most persuadable people on the planet, but he was also extraordinarily sensitive and compassionate, so he could not deal with the fact that his child was a con artist. He died about six months after I was born.
I was traumatized by the loss of my father, which lasted for several years. At the time I was eight years old, and I had to go through what is called a "bereavement crisis." I went through this in a couple of years, and I believe that made me very vulnerable and susceptible to spiritual manipulation.
I had a very easy-going childhood, and I got into trouble at school. I was a very poor student. I told my father about this when I was about eleven years old. He said that I should not bother my teachers with such trivial matters, and he advised me not to talk about it again.
I did not listen to him, and I ended up in trouble with the law several times when I was about fourteen years old.
