Castiel personality type is ENFP, which might be significant, since he has always been framed as a relatively new creature by the writing staff, with Castiel being the first angel to appear on the show. I don’t think that’s true, however, if I’m right about the original Castiel being a series regular.
JWP: So is this an angel-in-training who has been sent to Earth by God to help Sam and Dean?
AS: That’s at least one of the possibilities. I don’t think anything is set in stone, but it seems like a reasonable way to think about it. The other possibility is that he was created by God and sent to Earth to learn what humans are like. He could also be an angel sent to Earth by the angels, which is what he was in “Hunteri Heroici”.
JWP: Where are you at with your Castiel theories?
AS: I’ve written about 30 pages of notes and I have a lot of information I’m still looking through, but I’d say I’m about halfway through the process of putting together a case for everything.
