Lombardi was born in Rome. His mother, Maria Antonietta, was a housewife and his father, Luciano, was a truck driver. Lombardi is of German, French and Irish descent. He spent his childhood in the suburb of Fiumicino. When he was 7 years old, his father left the family and his mother became seriously ill. He had to take care of his younger siblings, who were not yet 3 years old.
At the age of 15, Lombardi joined the military school where he played football and tennis. He left school after a few months and joined the Italian Air Force where he became a flight technician and then a pilot. In his free time, he worked as a croupier in a casino in Las Vegas. In 2011, he was the host of the show "La fame di un'infanzia", on the RAI channel. In 2012, he was a contestant on the talent show "A pezzi" and won the title of "best Italian."
