Bennett is a rare case in which I think there's a good explanation for his behavior that's independent of the Envy personality type. In his case, his envy is not deliberately directed at other people. Instead, he's constantly looking at how people are living and comparing it to what he himself is capable of. He's almost obsessive about it. And in that respect, he can be seen as a very healthy envious person. I think envy is one of the strongest emotions anyone can feel, but it can also be used as a source of motivation for reaching goals and trying to improve yourself.
I also don't think it's surprising that Bennett would have been rejected by the women he's dated, and I don't think Bennett is necessarily a bad person. If he finds himself falling in love, it might be because he's found someone who feels the same way about him. So I think Bennett might be able to overcome his envy if it comes to that, but this may take some time and effort on his part. And of course, it also depends on what skill he's lacking to become more attractive to women.
