She has developed a passion for helping people with disabilities and is at home speaking, writing, and conducting workshops. She is a great leader and has developed a team of people to help her get the results she wants. In one of her workshops she got to know a young man who had cerebral palsy and he was very shy and reserved. His mother worked with her and helped her find ways to break down the barriers the young man had and help him share his story and his struggles with others in an attempt to help him communicate better and feel more comfortable in his own skin.
When I read about her work I felt that she was doing much more than just serving the needs of the young man. She was helping him build his confidence and build his self esteem. She was giving him a sense of purpose in life and helping him to become the young man he could become.
