What about the INTP personality type?
INTPs are one of the most rare personality types. They often struggle to make a good life for themselves, and they much prefer to be independent. In my talks with students and parents of children with Autism, I have noticed that the INTP personality type is identified more often than others.
I asked the owner of this website, who is an INTP, if he identified with the INTP personality type — "It's definitely true that the INTP is the least popular of the 16. But I think it's because the INTP is just so rare that people tend to leave it out of their descriptions. The 2.4% of the population that is estimated to be INTP is a huge contrast to the 0.4% estimated to be INTJ. This makes me think that the INTP is perhaps less common than it should be."
My own experience as an INTP leads me to believe that the INTP has a somewhat under-appreciated intelligence.
