Salvador Sobral personality type is INFP, with a very dominant Fe. He was the first Portuguese artist to win the Eurovision Song Contest. Salvador was raised in a musical environment and his mother was an accomplished pianist and taught him piano when he was a child. He started his career as a singer in the church choir and is also an accomplished guitarist and he appeared on the Portuguese version of Stars in Their Eyes in 1999 at the age of 12. In 1999, he released his album, Paisagem, with seven songs. One of the songs, Brazil, gave him the opportunity to perform in late 1999 at Pavilhão Atlântico in Lisbon, Portugal. He finished 5th place out of 15, in 2000, Sobral released his second album under the title Space of Love, which was a bigger success than his first album. It included songs such as A Man and a Woman, I am a Man of Destiny and he began a tour to promote the album in the United States. In 2001, he recorded his first single, To Love You More. The singles success gave him the opportunity to perform on the Portuguese version of Super Password, after its success, it was announced that Sobral would represent Portugal at Eurovision 2002.
Salvador Thiam Vilar Braamcamp Sobral ComM is a Portuguese singer, who won the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 for Portugal with the song "Amar pelos dois," written and composed by his sister, Luísa Sobral. In doing so, he gave Portugal its first ever win in the contest since its debut in 1964, ending the longest winless run by a country in Eurovision history. Sobral and his entry hold the Eurovision record for the highest-scoring winner, having earned a total of 758 points under the current voting system, after winning both the jury vote and televote.
