Se and Ni are the two extraverted, or outwardly directed, functions. Se is related to sensing and sensation while Ni is related to thinking and intuition.
The introverted functions, or the “introverted” functions, are the opposite of the extraverted functions. The introverted functions are ESTJ (Extraverted Sensing Thinking Judging) and ISFJ (Introverted Sensing Feeling Judging).
Sensing and intuition are the opposite of each other in Jungian typing. Extraverted feeling is similar to introverted thinking, while extraverted sensing is similar to introverted intuition.
This is why Se and Ni are opposite functions.
