What is the ESTP personality type?

The ESTP personality type is one of the 16 different personality types written about by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and other well-known psychological systems. ESTP personality type describes people who are often high-energy and fun, but can also be spontaneous and impulsive. They want things done their way, and when they work with others, they are highly focused on results and have a competitive nature. This means that they often work well in teams or organizations, especially if there is a lot of competition.

ESTPs are often organized and focused on a goal. They enjoy being able to see what they are working towards and moving forward toward it. For them, life is a series of goals that are achieved or not achieved. When they succeed, they feel great and are motivated to go further and achieve even more. When they don’t succeed, they quickly become consumed by their failure and pick themselves up off the mat to try again. This makes them low in anxiety, but high in stress.
