My answer: It depends on the type.
Most ISFPs are creative, to some degree. But they're not necessarily artists. They don't need to be. They can do a lot of different things, most of them creative, but some of them very much practical. Like being a soldier, for example. ISFPs can be very practical people.
ISFPs are often content to do what they've always been doing, or at least what they've been doing lately. Being an ISFP, you can be a completely different person in different situations. That's one of the things that makes them feel like they can't fit into certain categories, because they don't have to be the same person all the time.
ISFPs are often concerned with their own personal happiness. That's one of ISFPs' strengths.
