Mark personality type is ESTP, and I often yell at my husband or get into an argument with him. I can be quite emotional, and I tend to have a lot of ups and downs in my moods. I am also very impatient and impulsive in many ways, and I have a tendency to fly off the handle at times.
When I get upset, I get really expressive and use gesturing very often—it’s probably a way to express my feelings better and release some of the tension. My husband tends to get upset too, and he can also be expressive when he’s upset. For him, it’s probably because he’s not used to it. He doesn’t typically express his emotions like I do.
It’s probably the same for him, but he’s probably also just trying to figure out what we can both do to express our feelings better. One thing that we have to learn is how to make each other happy. When we get upset, we seem to want to fix the problem—we want to soothe each other, but we also want to understand the situation better.
