Early History
Soraka was born in the village of Tashas, located in the southern region of Ionia. Her parents, the priestess Adophis and the sculptor Sylas, were part of one of Ionia's oldest families. As a child, Syndra was often left alone by her family, which mostly consisted of her mother and her older brother, Kog'Maw. Kog'Maw ran his own business in their village and was a kind and playful man. However, Sylas would often leave home alone, telling his wife that he was going to look for some "treasure" or "gold." After many years together, Adophis and Sylas were married, and their new family was complete. Sylas began to travel widely, often spending days away from home. He would leave his wife and children behind for months at a time.
