MB: Your marriage with your wife, Sarah, was the first time that you had been married prior to your mission. That was a big decision for you. How did that happen?
BS: From the time that I was 16, 17 years old, I had been dating girls and I knew that I would be going on a mission and I was going to get married. But we went to BYU, and we were dating Mormons and we didn’t know anything about the church. Then we started dating and we found out that we were Mormon and we decided that we would go on a mission together. We were very excited about that. We knew that we wanted to marry before we went on a mission, but we also knew that we didn’t want to be married before we went on a mission because we were going to be spending five years apart from one another.
