As a couple, we have a very close relationship. We complement each other very well. My husband is very nurturing and sensitive. I'm very nurturing and sensitive, so it's a perfect fit for us. But I'm also very different from him. I'm more analytical and less sensitive. I'm also more independent.
When Simon was younger, he was much more independent than he is now. He wasn't as dependent on his parents as he is now. Maybe that's why I was surprised when he asked me to be his best man at his wedding (he asked me two years before he got engaged) because I thought he'd want to choose someone more like himself.
