“I’m an ISTP, and I was a bit scared of the job at first. I had worked as a police officer before, and I think the public expects ISTPs to be very independent and not to follow orders. I’m used to being independent and following my own path. But, after a couple of months, I’ve found the job to be incredible and very interesting. The dynamic between the police and the criminals is really interesting and complex. I’m learning a lot and like the challenge of putting myself in the other person’s shoes and seeing things from their point of view.
“I don’t think I’ve had a single conflict with the criminals. They understand that we’re there to help them and that we want to keep them safe. It’s our job to help them, and they respect that. Sometimes they even thank us when they see how well we treat them. There are some people who are especially stubborn, but they are few. I also have to admit that sometimes I feel like a superhero in my own way.
