José Alberto Iglesias, also known as Tanguito, Tango, or Ramses VII, was an Argentine singer-songwriter. He mostly associated with the then nascent rock scene of his country. He started out as a rock dancer in clubs, and then became part of the Nueva ola group Los Dukes. Since 1966 he was a regular at La Cueva, a night club that was at the centre of the Argentine rock scene. It was around this time that he wrote what would be his biggest hit, "La balsa", performed by Litto Nebbia's Los Gatos. He wrote other songs that became popular, mostly through other artists, such as Amor de primavera.

He was sent to prison in February 1971, after being detained several times, and in May 1972 he was declared mentally insane and confined to the José T. Borda Neuropsychiatric Hospital. He died tragically on May 19, 1972, just after escaping from the psychiatric hospital he was in. He was 26.
