Zhuge Liang personality type is INTJ, and the one I've been using for the last five years. But I've often thought, if I put together a group of 800 real people in which I could test my predictions against, they'd have a much more accurate picture of how this works.
So, here is an experiment. Try out these tests on your own.
I'm not going to explain the results, but I will offer some observations.
First, you are never going to get the exact same results re Zhuge Liang as you are with any other personality type. He's just too complicated, and his work is too nuanced.
Second, though the tests are not perfect, they are very good indicators of the different types of values Zhuge Liang had. They are also good indicators of where he was in relationship to contemporary Chinese thought.
Third, you'll see that they are most accurate when it comes to the values most fundamental to Zhuge Liang's vision of life.
I will also offer some general observations about the characteristics which are most likely to be found in Zhuge Liang's personality type.
And finally, I will offer some thoughts about my own Zhuge Liang career.
Zhuge Liang was a Confucian-oriented "Legalist". He liked to compare himself to the sage minister Guan Zhong, developing Shu's agriculture and industry to become a regional power. and attached great importance to the works of Shen Buhai and Han Fei, refusing to indulge local elites and adopting strict, but fair and clear laws. In remembrance of his governance, local people maintained shrines to him for ages.
