James "Rhodey" Rhodes personality type is ISTJ, although he does display some characteristics of the other types.
Appearances
In the comics, Rhodey is a former U.S. Air Force officer and Rhodes scholar, who became a friend and confidant to Tony Stark. He is also an accomplished pilot and a member of the Avengers, which he joined after he was asked by Captain America to serve as a "backup" member of the team. He has been known to be part of the team at times when they are undermanned, but usually appears in other capacities such as a media spokesman or a member of the science team. As an Avenger, he first appeared in the "West Coast Avengers" series, and later joined the main Avengers roster. He also became close friends with Wonder Man and later Hawkeye.
Rhodey is also a founding member of the newest incarnation of the Thunderbolts, a group of supervillain super-powered individuals who have turned over a new leaf, and have become active heroes with the goal to help the weak. Notably, he is the only member of the Thunderbolts that has been seen fighting alongside the Avengers.
