What is the personality type of Spanish? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Spanish from Fields Of Study and what is the personality traits.
Spanish personality type is ESFP, while the Latin American type is ENFJ.
I suspect that the result of this exercise may be off because I’m not familiar with all the different types, and some of the differences may be explained by the different ways in which the question is phrased. However, the question on the survey was clear and unambiguous, so perhaps the survey respondents weren’t asked to differentiate between Latin American and European types. Or maybe they were, but they were confused by the question.
Nevertheless, the results are interesting. I have a hypothesis about this: European types, particularly those in countries with a heavy French influence, are hyper-sensitive to insults and negative feedback. In their opinion, “you can’t please everyone”. In Latin America, on the other hand, they have been socialized to think that they are different from Europeans, and that they have a right to be angry. If you insult them, they will feel angry and insulted.
I don’t know whether this hypothesis is true, but it made me think about a general principle in psychology: people form strong opinions about their identity in relation to other people.
