She married Quinten long before the beginning of The Betrothed, about 3 years before. She was chosen for her fertility, but she didn’t know it before the marriage took place.
She’s a mystery to all Isoltians, none of whom expected Quinten to remarry. A few months after her marriage to the king, her parents went missing and were found dead in front of one of the palace doors.
